Board-certified dermatologist Dr. Jeffrey Weinberg is our clinical director, with more than 30 years of experience. He leads our team of skilled practitioners, including physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners.

Our team has experience treating skin conditions in dermatology practices, including many who continue to work in private practice. They also have expertise in the specific needs of older patients, including those with multiple medical conditions or disabilities.

Your residents receive thorough, comprehensive care in the comfort and convenience of their own rooms or other preferred locations. We bring all of the needed staff and equipment directly to their bedsides, so your staff can focus on other tasks.

We diagnose and treat all types of diseases affecting the skin, hair and nails, including serious issues such as skin cancer. Our team can handle nearly all procedures at your facility, including ordering biopsies, and we have a strong network for surgical referrals if necessary.

We can also consult our other specialists, as necessary. For example, optometrists may refer patients to our dermatologist for cancerous skin tags around the eye.

Patients don’t usually have isolated health issues. That’s why we take a holistic approach to patient care, reviewing the full picture of the resident’s medical history and related conditions.

For example, patients with diabetes are more likely to have many types of skin conditions, including problems caused by narrowed blood vessels (atherosclerosis). Our team creates a safe, appropriate treatment plan to manage skin conditions and minimize other health risks.

Many long-term care residents are already taking multiple medications. We can often help avoid further prescription drugs by recommending nonmedical treatment options, such as showers or more frequent bed turning schedules.

These options can be more cost-effective and less time-intensive for your staff, while being equally useful for treating the medical condition.
