The MedServ Group Story
The MedServ Group grew out of our sister company, DentServ Dental Services, which has provided specialty dental care to nursing facilities for more than four decades.
Many facility administrators asked DentServ to provide more on-site medical services. We recognized that facilities needed a go-to vendor for multiple specialties. Too often, facility staff have to transfer residents off-site for appointments and treatment, which is stressful, costly and time-consuming.
With this in mind, we launched The MedServ Group in 2014 to offer dermatology, optometry and podiatry specialty care services. Our mission is to deliver reliable, exceptional patient care, so every resident receives the individual attention they deserve.
A Personal Mission
Our founders have a personal connection to this mission, because our family members have spent extensive time in hospitals and long-term care facilities. We’ve seen firsthand how residents and families struggle with preventable and treatable health conditions—and how the right medical care makes all the difference. We’ve also worked in the nursing home setting and know how beneficial it is to have a vendor come on-site to provide care.
Long-term care and skilled nursing facilities need expert, dependable clinical care focused on the specific needs of older adults and special needs residents. Facilities also need consistent client service and back-office support. Most healthcare vendors don’t offer both.
